Rigby's Tainted World.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAryr1htkDM BEFORE YOU READ, WATCH THIS.
Perceptions of truth are so far apart. I'm beginning to realize that my blunt definition of truth is not the truth that everyone stands by. What is truth? I'm a little confused on what the truth is anymore. We live in a world of lies. Constantly bombarding us from TV to books, to the man or woman in our bed to the children we are raising. How do we know what is truth?

12.
in truth, in reality; in fact; actually: In truth, moral decayhastened the decline of the Roman Empire.

I beleive that we have been living in such lies, we no longer know who we are or what anything is. I don't think we know what we want or what this life is meant to be. We are all so confused about God, and who he or she is. What we are meant for in this life. What is the truth about who we are. I always say, when I feel lost or confused that I go to the one place I know to be true, and that truth is my daughter. She is so innocent, untainted by the world. If there was ever a real truth in this world it would be the innocence of not knowing. The human instincts that we are first born with and the basic needs we needed at that time feel real. As we grow older and are more animalistic, gross, disgusting creators that want to cause pain, we loose that innocence. We obtain this animal like personality out to get the prey we desire. Whether it's money, beauty, material possessions, wisdom, knowledge, a family, man/woman, gold medals, becoming an actor/actress, singer, song writer, accountant, business man/woman, owning "things" or people.

It's almost as if, because we no longer own who we are, we desire to own the world.

We no longer have control. Either the Government or God does. Every morning we wake up being owned by everything. The car we drive, the job we work at, the water we drink, we cannot survive alone. We cannot survive without someone or something. We are even owned by the idea of not being owned. We are defined by our personality, our looks, even the mannerisms we possess.

By birth we are almost owned by the place we are born. You can't just be " Jane Doe", you are Jane Doe who lives here, looks like this, talks like this, walks this way, does this job, goes to this school, possesses these skills, has these friends, wears those clothes, drives that car, has those children/child, has that husband/wife. Your parents tell you to be who are, but how can you be who you without moving to an island and not being influenced by the world on a constant basis. Who is to say that we are who we because we chose, when everything around us defines us. People say, don't let things define you, when they turn around and judge you for the choices you've made.

A good example is celebrities. " what are you wearing today?" Basically I see that as, who owns you today? ha. It makes me sick, but what else can you do? Must we adapt to the nature or future of this terrifyingly, digusting reality, that we are owned?

My conclusion, is perception is reality. No one sees one thing the same as the other. Which amazes me, to know we have gotten this far. Knowing, that we all do not see anything the same. We are all lying.
